DOGGED WANDERINGS...

Orchard Road

A random shot of two people sitting on a bench, reading the papers.

I soooo can't do street photog. I'm shy. Hee. Whipping out a dSLR and pointing some fat lens at people is bound to get you some glares and hey-you're-invading-my-privacy looks. Especially in Singapore. In London, people wouldn't batter half an eyelid whether you're taking a shot of them, or their neighbour. People mind their own business.

While waiting for my friends the other day at the corner of Oxford Circus, there was a photographer couching down trying to get an interesting angle on the Niketown sign. All these ppl who walked past him just knocked his lens with their elbows - not intentionally of course.

It was quite interesting watching him work and taking pics of ppl, sometimes about 1 meter away from them and no one seemed to care. It was just so cool. To be able to take pics and not be noticed. I coundn't tell if he was Nikonian or Canonnite - he didn't use a strap, neck or otherwise.

When I attempted some street photog at Picadilly Circus, I get asked to take pics for tourists.
