I'll be out of town for two weeks. Am off on a little holiday with my family to Hokkaido and Tokyo (1st time to the former and the nth time to the latter)... gotta brush up my Japanese. It's hardly of conversational standard. They say it's beautiful in Hokkaido... it's the least-developed of Japan's four main islands, and there are vast natural and scenic areas; I've got my camera and gear all sorted out. Mom thinks I'm crazy, bringing my 'big camera' along, but there's no way I'll leave my baby behind. Oh, my tripod too.Still have a couple of things I need to do over the internet. Hope I get 'net access there... 'else I'm kinda toast.

I remember when you didn't go online for the first week when we were in Guernsey. Oh, that desperation of yours to try to get online by bugging the hotel guy.
Then when we found that Internet cafe near-ish our hotel and when the lady was closing shop, your were really distressed sounding while you were telling her of how we had trekked for miles to find the stupid place. Good going, your desperation got us 10mins of free 'net time.

faydel - hey, you had your share of fun during the many breaks we had in the sch year... all those exotic places you visited! while i was summoned home and to days with low excitment...
xi - the internet ought to never be too far from reach!
Perhaps u should get one of them satellite phones attatched to ure laptop. You'd always be a button away from connecting to the web.
