Wonderland Sydney is closing down.
Not that it's affecting me much; I've only been there once or twice, before I went over for high school. I remember playing with the animals in the Australian Wildlife Park, which is one of the attractions within Wonderland... feeding the 'roos, cuddling koalas... the touristy kinda thing.
It's the way the media puts it that gets to me:
"The challenges faced by the tourism/leisure industry over the past few years… the Asian financial crisis, Sept 11, Ansett collapse, War on Iraq, HIH collapse and the skyrocketing insurance premiums, the Bali terrorist attack, the devastating bush fires, SARS and now the Asian bird flu have simply taken their toll." Tough times.
Just read the news. The world *is* in a mess. It always has been.
